Me!

 Hi there! My name is Emma Theriot (they/she/he)!

Welcome! I hope you're having a wonderful day! I am an act0r-singer-dancer-friend(!) currently based in upstate New York as I finish my BFA in Musical Theatre at Nazareth University in Rochester (senior year, LET'S GO!)! As a little kid, I thoroughly enjoyed climbing trees, reading books, and teaching myself how to dance in the kitchen. Now, I prioritize wonder, tenderness and FUN to be at the center of the work that I do-- without fun, where would we be as people? (and is that a world that you want to see?)

I started theatre in the seventh grade, after an extreme hyperfixation with Hamilton and the 2008 Pro-Shoot of RENT, and have performed in many shows since then. My personal favorites include Rock Of Ages (Regina, Timber Lake Playhouse)  Crazy For You (Polly Baker, Nazareth University), The Wizard of Oz (Ens./ Toto Puppeteer /US Wizard, GEVA Theatre),  Assassins (John Wilkes Booth, Nazareth) The Spitfire Grill (Effy, Nazareth) and Anything Goes (Virtue/ US Erma, Timber Lake Playhouse)

This past fall, I had the amazing opportunity to jump-start my move to NYC by performing as Lucinda in "Into the Woods" at Vanguard Theatre Company- during this show, I was able to meet so many amazing people, as well as sign with Dottridge Talent Agency!

With an emphasis on the experiences of my own childhood, I have managed to make my past something that does not define me-- but has made me into the person I am now; Something I am very grateful for. My number one mission is to become the person that I needed when I was younger.  I believe that theatre, community, and creating art is the most accesisble (and beautiful) way to do that. 

Outside of performing, I enjoy cutting my friends hair, makeup and wig design, cooking for large groups of people, reframing Golden-Age classics, creating extremely detailed Spotify playlists (@theaddamsadministration-- TY middle school me!) and spending time with the family of friends that I have created!
